A couple of other forum regulars each had initial problems that they worked through with new bikes straight from the dealer. I don't remember you saying if you got a new or used bike, I don't think it matters.
What I've picked up from the forum is that the bike is sufficiently simple that there is almost always a 'real' solution to the bike's problems. This bike has little/no redundancy. Not like a good old 8 cylindar land cruiser that will run on 6 without a hiccup.
Fortunity I have had no problems ever with my baby cruiser and I've off to ride around in our 110 degree afternoon heat (tempted to not use a helmet but at least it will give me some shade on the balding head.
ditto everyone else's comments about dealer's and finding a good mechanic.
Well I'm outta here and psyched for the sun - I'll tell you if anything memoriable happens.
